Knowing Jesus

The greatest privilege a person can have is to know Jesus. It has been said the more you know Him the more you love Him. I have found this to be absolutely true. The journey of discovering the wonder of the living Christ and responding to his endless love is the pinnacle of life. The glory, power and majesty of Jesus is eternal and at the same time practical to the need of the moment. He who calmed the sea comes to bring us peace and freedom.
It all comes down to relationship we have the great privilege to be in a love based relationship with the living God. This is why He created us in the first place. Relationships need to be developed. The more important certain relationships are to us the more we should cherish and invest in them. Three key factors that go into building a quality relationship is time, commitment, and communication. These three things work together to build a lasting beautiful relationship.
It takes time Jesus said “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
What is important to us in life is what we commit to. If our relationship with the Lord is what we value the most then that needs to be our greatest commitment, it needs to be what we passionately pursue. Our Christian life begins with a commitment to Christ. The first time we surrender our life is just the starting point there our commitments we need to make with each new day.
Proverbs 8:33 Heed instruction and be wise, And do not neglect it. 34″Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at my doorposts. 35″For he who finds me finds life And obtains favor from the LORD.…
Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.
One common ingredient you find with those who have a healthy relationship with
God is daily devotions. Time spent with Him in prayer, fellowship and bible study is time well spent.
It is crucial in maintaining our relationship. The word of God is our daily bread and fellowshipping with Jesus keeps the life of God flowing into us. Nothing can take the place of our times of devotion. Once you began to experience the sweetness and peace in the beautiful place of His presence I am sure you will want to live a life of devotion.

Our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ can be a fulfilling amazing adventure of love and faith. I have found if you respond to the Holy Spirit as he tugs at your heart, He just keeps drawing you into a wonderful place of love and acceptance close to the heart of God. God is love and this relationship will continue to grow as we allow it to. He has so much to give share and teach us. He knows we are not perfect and is patiently changing us and conforming us into His own image

Communication is the life blood of any relationship it nourishes and sustains it. One thing you continually hear from married couples is the importance of communication. They have learned through their experience that is impossible to have a successful marriage without good communication.
Our prayer life is our communication with the Lord. There are several aspects to prayer. Praise, thankfulness, making request and much more. All of our prayer life needs to flow out of a sincere heart that is dedicated to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It should not be mechanical but meaningful, personal and powerful. James 5:16… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Another important thing is to keep on walking we always have setbacks and things that would try to knock us down. When it happens get up and keep going. Don’t run from God run to Him. I have found Him to be very kind and merciful. He really is the one that has the answer to whatever we are going through. We live in a world that is full of misery, pain and despair and God is our only hope and refuge. 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
